SCB Julius Baer donates medical equipment to three upcountry hospitals to help them cope with the COVID-19 crisis

SCB-Julius Baer Securities Co., Ltd. Chief Executive Officer Lalitphat Toranavikra said, “Thailand’s economy and society have been severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Every organisation should come together and join efforts to support the Thai society to weather through the crisis. We realise that a strong public healthcare system is crucial in alleviating the crisis and bringing the situation under control. This will lead to a faster recovery of livelihoods and eventually, the country’s economy. SCB Julius Baer wishes to play a vital role in providing support to the Thai community during this challenging period, by donating medical equipment - including powered air purifying respirators (PAPRs), ventilators, and negative pressure units - to three upcountry hospitals in Nakhon Si Thammarat (Khanom Hospital), Petchabun (Lomsak Hospital), and Yala (Yala Hospital). We hope that our support will save the lives of patients infected with Covid-19 and lighten the pressure experienced by medical staff in hospitals situated in non-central regions. Doing so, we hope that Thailand will recover from this crisis soon.”
